Hillcrest Lake Villas Resort

About Hillcrest Lake Villas

.Hillcrest is a floating timeshare, which means our owners are not bound by the week they own. This means that they could come their own week or notify us with an alternative week they would like to use. Our resort is located on the edge of Abita Springs, Louisiana. It consists of nineteen condo units situated by Lake Hillcrest, a man-made lake several acres in size, and nestled among sprawling oak trees. It is owned and operated by the Property Owners' Association with an elected Board operating on their behalf.

Hillcrest Lake Villas History

The Resort was initially built in the 1980's by a timeshare developer, but is now in the control of the owners through an elected Board of Owners. We are a non-profit organization. All income such as maintenance and rentals fees goes toward the maintenance and improvement of our resort.

Testimonials
From John and Kathryn owners from 2010
We first visited HLV in April 2010. We were so impresed with area and the proximit to New Orleans that we bought two fall weeks and returned that November as owners. If you are a nature lover, Tammany Trace, State Parks, Money Hill Hiking Trail, Northshore Nature Center offer ways to enjoy the area's natural beauty. Plus there's an 18 hole golf course right down the street! If you're a foodie like us, the local grocery stores are well stocked and the state's largest wine store is just a town away in Covington. Of course at least one visit to New Orleans is a must. It's just 50 miles and the ladies in the office provide excellent written directions. There's a lot to see in the city. From the zoo to the top chefs that offer excellent price fixed lunches to draw you in. One last draw for us was the staff at HLV. We've traded our week and spent time at many timeshares around the U.S. A.. We can honestly say that the Office Belles are in a class by themselves. Friendly, competent and kind sealed the deal for us. We look forward to our time at HLV. So come on down to the Pelican State. You're going to love it!
From Carol owner from 2010                                                                                                           My ownership is late in the year. Hillcrest Lake Villas provide me a quiet, safe environment to escape to and avoid the chaos that occurs every year at this time. Rather then a huge high end resort complex Hillcrest is a quiet, more apartment like complex, which I love. It's my home away from home. The staff here are wonderful, knowledgeable and helpful. The units are very comfortable and spacious. The area provides a large variety of things to explore and discover.
I am very pleased with my ownership and invite you to come and enjoy the same things I have discovered.

Exchanger September 2012
I was leery about the resort because of some of the reviews, but found the poor reviews to be completely unfounded. Yes, it is an older resort, so if you want granite countertops and mints on your pillow, this probably isn't for you. The rooms are clean and spacious. We had a TV in both bedrooms as well as the living room. There is a wonderful wood burning fireplace and a private sauna in the room. The pool is small but very nice with a waterfall at one end. Each unit has their own covered patio or deck, which is great if you are a smoker. The employees are nothing but helpful and gave us all the free beads we wanted! If I ever come back to New Orleans I will definitely stay here. It was only about an hour into the city and was a very pleasant drive. If you park by Jackson Brewery in the city, it is a good place to start your city tour. Within walking distance of Cafe DuMonde and many other sites. Make sure you take the Grayline Super City Tour and ask for "Sly" to be your driver. You will learn more than you dreamed of. I would love to go back ASAP!
